Founded in 1957, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) stands as the region’s premier public college, catering to over 10,000 college credit students annually across its Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Venice campuses, as well as through an extensive array of online courses.

New College of Florida was founded in 1960 as a private liberal arts college and has evolved into Florida’s public honors college, known for its innovative curriculum and academic rigor.
